The photographs on this site may be purchased as prints in various sizes and printed on either photographic or fine art papers. I print on a variety of the highest quality photographic and fine art papers available today to ensure that prints will look as good decades from now as when first printed.
There are, of course, a few caveats to this statement, based entirely on you. Any paper or canvas based artwork, whether a traditional photographic print, a giclee, or a painting, will fade over time or otherwise be damaged if not properly protected from light, humidity and pollution. Consequently, there are some important decisions to be made when mounting, matting and framing a print.
Please read the article on Presentation so that you understand how to protect all of your photographs and other pieces of paper based art with conservation quality mounting, matting and framing. Not all matboards are created equal, and it matters.

For a more traditional type photographic print, I use Epson Premium Luster paper. This is usually effective for the smaller print sizes.
A photograph that is printed at a larger size often warrants the special treatment and look of a fine art paper. I print these photographs on a variety of museum quality acid-free, 100% cotton rag papers, including Hahnemuhle Photo Rag, Epson Ultrasmooth Fine Art and Moab Entrada Natural Fine Art.
There are no hard and fast rules as to which type of paper should be used for which photograph, although the colors in a particular photograph may be more faithfully rendered on one type of medium than another. This is why a number of fine art papers, with different flavors of white and different color gamuts, are used in my Studio. There is much more to read about the printer, inks and types of papers I use in the article, Printing.

Please note that these prices are for images as they appear on this site. If you would like editing or creative changes made to an image, perhaps to reflect a look you saw in a different image, additional charges are involved. Please take a look at the article, Developing the Photographs, for a discussion of these options.

Each fine art print is hand signed, titled and numbered, and comes with a copy of the artist's statement, recommendations for care and conservation, advice on framing and a Certificate of Authenticity. The Certificate of Authenticity is a document signed by Elle Dechene that lists the specific details of your fine art print, including the title, edition number and edition size. It also describes the various materials used in the making of your print (including the inks and paper).

Prints are protected in a clear archival envelope, then placed in rigid cardboard envelopes or tubes, depending on size, to provide protection from damage during shipment. Please keep your prints in the clear archival envelopes until they have been matted and framed. Shipment costs are additional, depending on the size and quantity of prints ordered.
